Amuz Sandhu

Deputy Editor of Health & Fitness

I’m a lifelong health & fitness enthusiast, starting with high school sport. Having been on several teams, I also dabbled in a few martial arts as a youngster. At 23 I took this to the next level, beginning Muay Thai and entering the ring as a fighter. Originally I retired 6 years later, having fought all over the UK. Shortly after I was diagnosed with cancer. After treatment I mounted a comeback to challenge myself and was selected to the national team for 2016’s world championships – taking a gold medal 7 months after surgery & chemotherapy. Post-fighting I starred in season 3 of “SAS: Who Dares Wins”, a docu-series which puts civilians through a condensed version of British special forces selection. Since then I’ve continued to develop both my mental and physical fitness and am still pushing my limits.
